Marie Smoak
Marie was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and earned her undergraduate degree in public health from the University of North Carolina. She began her career as a consultant, helping hospitals and healthcare systems improve their revenue cycle operations. After several years in consulting, Marie returned to school and received her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She is currently an Associate Director at UnitedHealth Group.
Marie grew up coming to Steamboat on family ski trips and decided to move to the Yampa Valley full-time in 2025. She enjoys skiing, hiking, and biking, and is actively involved with several local nonprofit organizations.
