Programs for Moms and Families

Nurse-Family Partnership

Nurse-Family Partnership

This free program provides regular home visits from specially trained nurses during pregnancy and through a child’s second birthday. Nurse home visitors have a wealth of information and tools to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy and childbirth and are prepared for early motherhood. They will answer questions, provide advice and help moms make healthy choices related to nutrition and any tobacco, alcohol and drug use. Nurses also provide life-coaching and help moms make plans for education, employment and any future pregnancies. Dads are encouraged to participate.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national, nonprofit organization with a 20-year history supporting first time moms. Extensive research has proven the program's benefits, including:

  • Improved prenatal health
  • Fewer childhood injuries
  • Fewer subsequent pregnancies
  • Increased intervals between births
  • Increased maternal employment
  • Improved school readiness

You must be a first-time mom and financially qualify for the free program. For more information, call 970-871-7686 or text 970-819-7539.
