Erika Murphy, Vice President
Erika has lived in the Yampa Valley for 19 years on a cattle ranch south of Hayden in Dunckley Park. She and her husband specialized in selling bulls and heifers to other mountain ranches who wanted Angus genetics as well as cattle that thrived at high elevations. They were the Colorado Seedstock Operator of the Year in 2020, and focus sustainability, land stewardship and training herding dogs. Prior to ranching, Erika and her husband owned and managed a software company on the Front Range which gave her experience in marketing, strategic alliances, management, contracts, negotiating and selling software all over the world. She joined the board of Northwest Colorado Health after many years of being involved in agricultural non-profits to focus more on good will and being service-oriented in the valley. According to Erika, since joining the board she is impressed with the amount and diversity of the healthcare provided by Northwest Colorado Health, and how much the board cares deeply about the staff, the charter they are tasked with, and the sense of doing the best job possible.
