Thomas Welle, LPC, LAC - Behavioral Health Provider
Thomas “Tom” Welle, LPC, LAC, is a licensed professional counselor and licensed addiction counselor at Northwest Colorado Health. He has experience helping people address mental health and substance use concerns in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Education and Professional Experience
Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He later received his Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William & Mary in Virginia.
He has served in a variety of behavioral health roles throughout Northwest Colorado, providing counseling and support to people with mental health and substance use disorders.
Therapeutic Approaches
Tom uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches selected according to each patient’s individual needs, experiences and treatment goals. Methods incorporated into his practice include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Individualized mental health counseling
- Substance use disorder counseling
