Megan Wykhuis, MSW, LCSW - School-Based Behavioral Health Provider
Megan Wykhuis, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and school-based behavioral health provider with Northwest Colorado Health. She works with children, adolescents and adults age five and older, as well as parents and families.
Education and Professional Credentials
Megan earned her Master of Social Work from Colorado State University in 2019. She received her licensed clinical social worker credential in 2023.
School-Based Behavioral Health Experience
Megan has extensive experience serving as a counselor and social worker in public schools throughout Routt County. Her work in school settings has included supporting:
- Children and adolescents ages 5–19
- Parents and families
- Adults seeking behavioral health support
- School and community support systems
- Collaboration among families, educators and care providers
Approach to Behavioral Healthcare
Megan uses a systems-based approach that considers more than an individual’s immediate concerns. She also looks at how family, school, community and other environmental factors may affect a person’s well-being.
She works with clients to identify appropriate treatment strategies while considering the support and resources available within their daily environments.

Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, biking, paddleboarding and watching the latest Marvel movie.
