Kayla Guettich, LPCC - Behavioral Health Provider (School-Based)
Kayla is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate for the State of Colorado. Kayla received a master’s in counseling from Oregon State University, which is approved by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. As part of Kayla’s counselor education, she completed extensive coursework in humanistic theory, assessment and diagnosis, multicultural considerations, human development, and trauma-informed treatment. In addition to formal education, Kayla has received additional training in working with gender diverse youth, play therapy, sandtray therapy, motivational interviewing and Attachment-focused Family therapy. Additionally, Kayla’s previous employment as an Executive Functioning Coach has provided her with training and qualifications to address both the functional and emotional needs of those with ADHD.
Kayla’s approach to counseling is individually tailored to each client's unique needs, evidence-based and supported by research in attachment, neuroscience and human biology. When working with children and adolescents, Kayla looks to involve the family system whenever possible. Kayla deeply values collaboration throughout the counseling process, with the intention to co-create a path that is meaningful to those she works with.
Outside of work, Kayla finds joy trail running, trying new recipes, and savoring a hot cup of coffee.
