"Good Grief!" Art Show - First Friday Artwalk

"Good Grief" is an illustrated journey, by Krystal Mackey. Join our Bereavement team during First Friday Artwalk to experience this journey and chat with the artist. The show will remain up at the Depot Art Center throughout the month of April.
From the artist: This exhibit consists of drawings I did during a very intense period of grief several years ago. My father died when I was four. 45 years later I needed to express these feelings, but didn’t have many words, and no memories of my dad. So I drew what I felt and what came into my head. The drawings are shown chronologically and illustrate my grief journey.
In addition to the First Friday Art Walk, the following events will take place during the month of April to coincide with the Good Grief Art Show:
- April 8: Beginning Pastels with Artist at the Depot from 5-7pm
- April 10: Open Mic at the Depot from 7-8:30pm
- April 15: Portrait Pastels with Artist at the Depot from 5-7pm
- April 16: Reflective Writing at the Grief Resource Library (St. Paul’s Episcopal Church) from 4:30-5:30pm
- April 17: Artist in Residence at the Depot Art Gallery – all day
- April 23: Good Grief Yoga at Harmony Yoga and Wellness from 5:30-6:30pm
