Tamara Tobey, DDS - Dentist
Tamara Tobey, DDS, MA is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry and Population Health at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (CU SDM). She is the Director of the Advanced Clinical Training and Service (ACTS) Program a service learning program in which fourth-year dental students provide dental services, under the supervision of practicing dentists, to children and adults whose access to services is constrained by financial, geographical, physical or medical factors. Dr. Tobey holds a Bachelor of Arts in EPO Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado. She completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at the Palo Alto, California Veterans Administration Medical Center and practiced as a clinical General Dentist for 22 years at Federally Qualified Health Centers, primarily at Denver Health. While at Denver Health, Dr. Tobey was a Staff Dentist, Team Leader, GPR Director and the Associate Director of Dental Services. An adjunct professor at the CU SDM since 1993, she became a full time faculty member in 2016. Dr. Tobey received her Masters of Arts in Education from Regis University in 2018.
