Jona Ely, DNP, FNP-BC - Nurse Practitioner

Jona Ely received her MSN/FNP degree in 2002 from UNC and her DNP in 2013, from UNC.
She worked from 2002-2014 as an FNP in Craig, Colorado, in Primary Care. From 2014-10/21 she worked at a rural clinic in Baggs, Wyoming, doing Primary Care, Urgent and Emergent Care, Occupational Health, including CDL physicals, workman comp injuries, and care of acute injuries. From 10/21 -6/22 she worked at an urgent care clinic in Riverton WY.
She has extensive experience as a primary care provider in multiple practice areas of healthcare including, but not limited to:
- Acute and Chronic Health Care Problems
- Urgent and Emergent Care
- Wellness Screenings and Preventative Health for all ages
- Worker’s Compensation and Occupational Medicine
- Lesion Removal and Laceration Repair
- Diabetes Education
- Obesity
- Metabolic Syndrome
She is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and a Certified Examiner for Level I Worker’s Compensation injuries.
She is married and has 2 children and 2 step-children, all adults now. She grew up and still lives on a family cattle and horse ranch on the Wyoming/Colorado border, and spends much of her spare time helping on the ranch. Her favorite pastime is spent on the back of her horse, regardless of the activity involved. She also enjoys hiking and quilting in her spare time.
